What is the CPCS A73 – Traffic Marshal Course?

After training, you’ll receive a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card – a requirement for most UK construction jobs.

Both versions include full theory, practical, and CPCS testing.

Step-by-Step: How to Get Your CPCS A73 Card

1. Pass the CITB HS&E Test (Operatives Level): Must be passed within 2 years. (Duration: 45 minutes) – We can book this for you.
2. Enrol in a CPCS A73 Course:
   • Novice (2–3 Days): For beginners, includes full training and test prep.
   • Experienced (1–2 Days): For those with prior on-site experience.
3. Complete Training & Pass CPCS Tests:
   • Theory Test – CPCS verbal questions (multiple choice)
   • Practical Test – Real-life plant/vehicle marshalling scenarios
4. Receive Your CPCS Red Trained Operator Card: Valid for 2 years.
5. (Optional) Upgrade to CPCS Blue Card:
   • Complete NVQ Level 2 in Plant Operations (Vehicle Marshalling)
   • Documented on-site work experience
   • Get a Blue CPCS Card valid for 5 years
